Greenwich Dunes PEI National Park This past visit Greenwich Dunes PEI National Park

This past visit to PEI we took a drive East! The Greenwich Dunes trail is just under 5km return. A flat, wide trail with a floating boardwalk over the pond, leads to the dunes and beach.

It’s a moderate trail, taking about an hour and a half with a short stop at the beach. You could easily spend the day here on the beach 😊

Avonlea Village in Cavendish Worth the pop in if Avonlea Village in Cavendish

Worth the pop in if you’re looking for a bite and a little shopping..
The Avonlea Gallery in the first picture is where you’ll find the work of fantastic local artists, like Maurice Bernard (from my previous post).

The church housing Boomburger is an actual church built in 1872. It was saved and relocated to its current location.

The Village isn’t large, but great for some shopping and food, and a bit of history...

This is Maurice Bernard, a well known PEI artist. This is Maurice Bernard, a well known PEI artist.
His work is beautiful and if you are interested you can find his work (and maybe even him) at the Avonlea Gallery located @avonleavillage in Cavendish.

His work can also be found in other places around the island, including the display in the last photo, at the East Point Lighthouse!

One of my favourite things about PEI are the many fox sightings I’ve had over the years... so this piece spoke to me 😊 (it said take me home, btw)

Oh, and he also builds sandcastles in the summer on the PEI beaches, the pics I’ve seen look incredible. Sadly, you can’t buy these 😉...
